SC1 Desktop is a “Ground to Cloud” solution that installs under Windows 7 or 10 and connects securely to your Search Cloud One account, powered by AWS.
- Download HTML and convert to PDF, from any public Website.
- View HTML & PDF files in you local file system and add or edit the title or any of the PDF standard or custom properties ( i.e. the document meta data fields).
- *Special feature – copy dates from the PDF viewer in many different formats, including verbose legal formats that dtSearch Desktop cannot recognize, such as “the 22nd day of July, 2012”, it converts the various formats into a standard format, ready for pasting into a PDF document property field.
- Carry out pre-publish checks such as checking for missing title or invalid data in the document properties.
- Download as PDFs any documents that may have been previously uploaded to Search Cloud One as Word or HTML files, or from a database. Any additional fields that may have been added manually or automatically in your Search Cloud One database will be included in the PDF document properties. These PDFs can then be used in dtSearch Publish so that you can publish off-line as well as online.
- Displays a table of files, complete with fields, colour coded so that you can see what documents are already uploaded, what are waiting to be uploaded, and what are being processed.
- Upload all processed files in bulk to Search Cloud One.

It demonstrates the use of filters to narrow the search without having to type a long query such as Title contains (Smith v Cotoco Freezing company) or Date Of Judgment contains (2016/01/21).
Try clicking the filter in the search bar, enter a Date of Judgment of 21 Jan 2016, click Apply.
PDF files were uploaded with custom properties created in Adobe Acrobat called Date of Judgment and Case Title. The files are automatically converted by Search Cloud One to HTML to allow multi-color hit-highlighting.
Try a search for – holden and fashion and ashi – click on the search result to view the document with each word of the search in a different color.
The 20 files in this demo are a small sample donated by Toma Legal Retrieve from their large collection of over 30,000 documents.
